Carol Kalnins
Registered Physiotherapist, MSc. PT, BSc. Kin, Cert. FDN, Cert. MDT Carol completed her physiotherapy training at the University of Alberta (Canada) in 2013 and worked in musculoskeletal physiotherapy across western Canada before moving to Dunedin, NZ in 2018. Carol has a background playing high performance sport and had her share of injuries which has provided her with insight to clients’ experience of rehabilitation within a performance environment. With her performance days long behind her Carol has picked up mountain biking and can now be found riding (crashing) her bike around the hills of Dunedin. Carol believes rehabilitation must be individualised to address your overall health and is aware that not everybody has the same passion for “exercise” or gym-based strengthening. She believes movement and rehabilitation does not need to be daunting and can be incorporated into to most people’s lifestyle. She works with clients to better understand their injury or pain and develop sustainable self-management plans which are realistic and sustainable for recovery and prevention. Carol has developed a specific interest in persistent pain and also leads anew Pain Management Centre’s physiotherapy service.
